She Means Business

UWiB is hosting the 18th annual Professional Development Conference at Notre Dame on February 7, 2026. As the second largest spring recruiting event at Notre Dame, this is a fantastic way to learn more about careers in business, and companies, and form connections.

This year's conference theme is “She Means Business.” We believe that it is an exciting time for women in business as they inspire and shape the future through leadership and innovation. Our theme is focused on picturing the ‘new, now, and the next’ with an optimistic approach to the future.

Each year we have had great student attendance, with around 200 undergraduate students, and company participation and we hope to increase our numbers this year. The conference is a great opportunity for women to connect on various topics, for undergraduates to learn from experienced professionals, for companies to promote their brands, and to help students gain valuable knowledge about the business world from the women who have gone before them.

This year, we will have coffee chats, breakout rooms, panel discussions, and a lecture from our keynote speaker, Chelsea Smith, who works as a Senior National Director in Family Office Services at Bernstein Private Wealth Management. She is a graduate of Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and has a passion for making an impact on the lives of families. She previously worked at Northern Trust, Allstate Investments, and Goldman Sachs. We're looking forward to hearing her insights about what it means to be a woman in business!
